Sovereign Truth Media LLC develops and produces original stories about money, banking and technology for the screen and the page. James (Jim) Notaris founded the company in New York to tell the story of the 2008 financial crisis and the rise of Bitcoin, and its first project, The Bitcoin Rebellion, now exists as a completed feature film, a fully scripted television season and a finished novel.

How it works

The company carries a project from research through production itself. Writing starts from the public record: court filings, regulatory releases, company announcements and published reporting. The novel behind The Bitcoin Rebellion documents its history with 169 footnotes, and the screenplays and the film draw on the same research.

Its stories are fiction set against real events. The characters and companies are invented, and the history around them comes from the public record.

Counsel
